52nd International Contemporary Music Festival

From October 2nd to October 18th 2008, Biennale di Venezia offerst the chance to attend the 52nd International Contemporary Music Festival: a 17 days high quality program performed by 77 musicians, 34 exibitions, 13 big ensembles, 3 orchestras, 8 singers, meetings and workshops.

Luca Francesconi, the current festival's director, is one of the most influential composer and orchestra director.
Radici Futuro is the title chosen by director Luca Francesconi for the new edition of the festival: young or experienced authors, beginners or famous, will be here all together with the greatest musicians of the world.

Biennale and Fenice Theater Foundation will renew its agreement to support the festival: some of the concerts and meetings will be held in the most famous theater of Venice: La Fenice.

Where:
The artists will perform on stage at the newly refurbished evocative spaces of the Arsenale (Teatro Piccolo Arsenale, Teatro alle Tese), at the Teatro La Fenice, at the church of San Samuele and at the municipal swimming pool of Sant'Alvise.
